Korb Tredo Architects, a 12 person firm located in downtown Milwaukee, has added Angela Ryun as a Senior Interior Designer.  Angela brings eleven years of commercial interior design experience in the areas of higher education, corporate and healthcare facilities to the firm.

HOPE Christian Schools’ new K-8 facility, designed by Korb Tredo Architects, will allow HOPE Christian Schools to expand their current middle school enrollment to serve K-8 students. The $3.27 million school is being built at 3601 N. Port Washington Ave.


During 2008 Korb Tredo Architects has continued to pursue our passion, re-vitalizing Milwaukee and surrounding communities with sustainable and innovative designs for education, worship and dwelling. Below are a few highlights:

Korb Tredo Architects has completed Design Development for the Residences at the Johnston Center. This transitional housing facility for the homeless is aiming for LEED Gold certification when completed in 2010.

St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church broke ground in July. The new welcome center is on schedule and will be completed in January 2009.

Korb TredoKorb Tredo Architects has completed Construction Documents for the new HOPE Middle School on Port Washington Road. This new, stand alone K-8 School aims to utilize both solar and geo-thermal technology.

Schematic design for the new multipurpose facility on the St. Marcus campus is also complete. This new wing will include a new K-8 school section, new administrative and meeting suites, and spaces for a neighborhood youth program. The building is being designed with a green roof and aims for LEED Certification.

It is a pleasure to work with the local universities. Renovation of the former Marquette Apartments at 1628 Wisconsin Avenue, into a 91-unit residence hall will be completed in August of 2009. In Madison, Korb Tredo Architects is working with VAST Collaborative to design a new meditation center/office space for research being done at the Waisman Center for Creating a Healthy Mind.

In Waupun, Wisconsin, Construction is underway on a major expansion to the City’s Public Library. This addition will completely reinvent what was a drab and forbidding public building. Additionally, Korb Tredo Architects designed expansions to the City’s Police Station and Municipal Garage.

Finally, Korb Tredo Architects completed the parking garage re-clad at 770 N. Jefferson, transforming what onmilwaukee.com dubbed “one of the ugliest things in Milwaukee.”

On a community note, in August Korb Tredo Architects assembled a team for the 2008 MS 150 ride to benefit Multiple Sclerosis. The event was a great success.Korb Tredo
